Menstrual cup reviews: here we go!

#1 Rated Menstrual Cup: The Diva Cup

First up on our list of the Top Rated Menstrual Cups is the Diva Cup. The Diva Cup is an excellent choice for your first menstrual cup and it’s often the top-rated menstrual cup brand in the world. It’s the cup to which all others are compared and many people actually call all brands of menstrual cups, the “Diva Cup.”

Their two sizes (pre + post-childbirth) fit most women reasonably well and the stiffness ensures that it will snap into place quite easily, which is ideal for beginners who may be struggling with menstrual cup insertion and removal.

The company is based in Canada and Diva Cups are manufactured from the highest quality of medical grade silicone. The Diva Cup is one of the few menstrual cups that are on the list of FDA approved ones. It really does belong firmly at the top of any list of the best menstrual cup brands.

#2 Rated Menstrual Cup: the Moon Cup

Moon Cup Menstrual Cup

Coming in at #2 on our list of the top rated menstrual cup brands is the MoonCup. The Moon Cup, another top rated menstrual cup is similar to the Diva Cup in terms of design, but is based in the UK and also manufactured there. We love menstrual cups that are made in Europe here at Reusable Menstrual Cups.

You can buy directly from the company, with free shipping in the UK if you like to shop locally and straight from the manufacturer. We always recommend buying a menstrual cup straight from the company if possible!

#3 Rated Menstrual Cup: The Lunette Menstrual Cup

The Lunette Menstrual Cup, another top rated menstrual cup is made in Finland from the highest quality medical grade silicone. People that have tried it seem to really like it because it’s soft and pliable which makes it easy to insert and remove. It doesn’t snap into place as easily as something stiffer like the Diva Cup, but once it’s inserted properly, it’ll suction to your vaginal walls and not leak. Some people find a softer menstrual cup more comfortable because it doesn’t press so strongly against their vaginal canal walls. There are also no little holes where fluid can get trapped so it’s very easy to clean.

The smaller size Lunette Cup is one of the shortest and narrowest menstrual cups on the market so it can work well for women with small vaginal canals who’ve reported leaking with some of the other cups. It’s an excellent product but simply not as well known as the Diva Cup or Moon Cup. It’s one of the most expensive menstrual cups on the market today (along with the Ruby Cup), but people who try it, seem to love it. It also has some of the highest reviews on Amazon in the category.

#4 Rated Menstrual Cup: The Keeper

In the world of menstrual cups, The Keeper is a bit unusual in that it’s made from latex and not silicone. While some women can develop allergies to latex, it’s also highly durable and this menstrual cup can last 10 years or more, unlike the silicone ones that have a recommended life of 1-2 years. The Keeper is the ultimate choice for those looking to save some money over the long-term. For this reason, it comes in at #4 on our list of the top menstrual cup brands.

The Keeper Menstrual Cup is made in the USA according to strict manufacturing standards.

The Keeper is extremely stiff, which means that it pops into place really easily and creates a super-suction seal which can reduce leakage. This can also make it a little difficult to remove but to counteract that, it has the longest stem on the market so you can get a good grip on it and pull. You can trim it if you experience discomfort due to the length of the stem.

#5 Rated Menstrual Cup: The Dutchess Cup

Last up on our list of the top rated menstrual cups is the Dutchess Cup. The Dutchess Cup is manufactured in China but from the highest quality medical grade silicone and to the highest standards. It’s one of the cheapest, but reputable menstrual cups at 2 for around $30 on Amazon (along with the Anigan Eva Cup). However, many women really seem to like it and it gets excellent reviews on Amazon. It’s thin and very pliable which means that it can suction well, once it’s in place and ladies report that is can leak less frequently than some of the stiffer cups like the Diva Cup.

The Dutchess B is one of the shortest and one of the smallest rim diameters on the market so it can be an excellent choice for those with small vaginal canals or those with a low cervix.

Bonus: What is the Smallest Menstrual Cup?

A bonus for you-not only do we have the top rated menstrual cups, but we’re going to unveil our choices for the smallest menstrual cups. A common question from many women is, “What is the smallest menstrual cup?” For those who haven’t given birth vaginally, teenagers or women who are just quite small, this is an important question. Here are our recommendations for the smallest menstrual cups:

#1: Meluna Menstrual Cup: Shorty Small

The Meluna Menstrual Cup is a great choice for small women because there is a huge range of sizes, from small to extra-large. There is also a regular and shorty version.

The shorty, small has a diameter of 38 mm, and a length of 45 mm. This is around 30% smaller than some of the bigger menstrual cups. We love Meluna for offering such a huge range of sizes. It’s so much better than most other menstrual cup companies that only offer one or two options for sizing. This makes it one of the top rated menstrual cups we review here at Reusable Menstrual Cups.
