Let’s get started!

#1 Best Menstrual Cup 2017: The Diva Cup

Diva Cup 1 Pre Childbirth
List Price: $29.61

The Diva Cup is one of the oldest and and most established menstrual cups in the world. Diva Cup is manufactured in Canada from the highest quality medical grade silicone according to the strictest standards.

It is so popular that is usually the cup to which all others are compared. There are many others similar cups out there, but the imitators often are lacking in quality and are made cheaply in China. The Diva Cup is definitely a cup above the rest.

It’s often the first menstrual cup that people start out with. If you check out the user reviews on Amazon, you’ll see that there are thousands of happy customers. If you’re looking to buy your first menstrual cup, you’d do well to start with the top-quality Diva Cup.

It comes in two sizes: small (pre-childbirth) and large (post-childbirth).

#2 Best Menstrual Cup 2017: The Lena Cup

The LENA Feminine Hygiene Cup is one of the highest ranked period cups on Amazon, coming in at a solid 4.7/5 star rating. It’s affordably priced at around $25 and it’s manufactured in the USA from the highest quality medical grade silicone.

Although the Lena Menstrual Cup is quite firm, it’s known for popping open really easily. Many people comment that it doesn’t leak for them, unlike some of the other menstrual cups they’ve tried (See: Menstrual Cup Leaking Help). The design is slightly different, in that it’s more of a bell-shape instead of a cone shape like many of the other popular cups on the market today.

One thing that we particularly like is the colour-it doesn’t get dingy as fast as the clear or white ones.

Like the Diva Cup, the Lena Cup comes in small and large.

#3 Best Menstrual Cup 2017: The Anigan Evacup

The Anigan EvaCup is an up and comer in the menstrual cup world. It has a lot of distinct advantages over some of the other menstrual cups including:

A large capacity of 37 ml. This is significantly more than the Lunette Cup, Diva Cup and Moon Cup which all come in at 30 ml (See: Heavy Periods?  How to Deal With it). This means that you’ll have to empty your cup less often, which can make a huge difference on the day and night of your heaviest flow. Combine this large capacity cup with something like an organic reusable cloth pad and you might be able to get away with not getting up during the night! Love it? We do too.

The Anigan Evacup is one of the cheapest menstrual cups that is manufactured in the USA. We generally recommend period cups that are manufactured in either North America or Europe. The quality is higher than the cheaper cups out of China.

The Anigan is quite flexible, which makes it easy to insert and remove (See: Menstrual Cup Insertion and Removal Tips). The disadvantage is that it doesn’t “pop” open like some of the other cups. But, some people prefer this.

Comes in 8 different colours. Why shouldn’t feminine hygiene products be fun?

#4: Best Menstrual Cup 2017: The Moon Cup

Mooncup Size B 1 Only
List Price: $25.30
Price: $25.30

The Mooncup Menstrual Cup is one of the oldest and most established menstrual cups in the world. MoonCup is manufactured in the UK and has a great reputation for excellent customer service and period cups that are of the highest quality.

The MoonCup is quite similar to the Diva Cup in terms of fit, size, price and colour. One advantage it does have over the Diva Cup is that it doesn’t have holes or ridges on it, which can make it easier to clean. The holes on the Diva Cup apparently assist with suction to the vaginal canal walls, but they don’t seem necessary. A smooth finish ensures an easier cleaning experience.

If you live in the UK, and like to shop local, we strongly recommend buying the MoonCup directly from their website. Shipping is free and fast. We love to buy straight from the company and cut out the middleman. Maybe you do too? The link to buy direct is listed below. Shipping is free worldwide so it makes a great option for those outside the UK as well.

#5 Best Menstrual Cup 2017: FemmyCycle Menstrual Cup

Rounding out our list of the best menstrual cup 2017 is the Femmy Cycle. The FemmyCycle Menstrual Cup has an unusual design which is more of a bell-shape than the other conical shaped cups on this list. This makes it an obvious choice for women who have tried the more traditionally shaped ones and found that they kept leaking no matter what they did. The company calls it a “no-spill” design and from our experience, it actually is.

The FemmyCycle is another made in the USA menstrual cup. It’s manufactured from the highest quality medical grade silicone according to strict standards.

If you check out the reviews on Amazon, you’ll notice plenty of satisfied customers. If you’re struggling to get a “normal” cup like the Moon Cup or Diva Cup to not leak, consider trying this one. Perhaps your body needs a different shape to get it to to work?

A Wide Variety of Models

One of the things we love about this one is that it comes in a variety of models. The FemmyCycle Menstrual Cup Low Cervix Size is a great choice for women with a low cervix. At only 50 mm in length, it’s a full 20 mm shorter than most of the other cups on the market. If you’ve tried something like the Diva Cup (70 mm length) and found the stem uncomfortable, try out this one.

Femmy Cycle also markets a period cup for teens, which has a diameter of only 31 mm. This is 10 mm smaller than the Diva Cup for example. This can also work well if you are a very small person who finds even the small sizes of something like the Diva Cup or MoonCup uncomfortable because it’s too big.
