Hersday Pads via Subscription Introduction
Hersday is a new pad subscription service that will send you a pack of sanitary napkins straight to your door each month. The company is very new to the scene and they’ve just started shipping product in 2018. Here are some of the questions that we’ve tried to answer:
Is the high price worth the convenience?
Are the pads high in quality and actually worth paying more for?
Find out the answer to these important questions in our full review.
Hersday Pads Review
Hersday Sanitary Napkins come in a box of 25. You can choose the mix (light, regular, or heavy pads) based on your flow.
For a box of 25 pads, the cost is currently $12.99 per month, although you can get a discount if you subscribe for longer.
At more than $0.50 per pad, that’s about double what you’d pay at the grocery store for a very similar product. However, you do get it delivered straight to your box, so you may be willing to pay for the convenience.
The company says that they’re extra-absorbent, and also that they’re very quick to dry. Our experience? They’re kind of like thin, dry-weave pads that you’d buy at the store in terms of dryness and absorbency. Hersday pads are certainly not that much better that we’d be willing to pay extra for them.
In addition, is it really that big of an inconvenience to throw a box of pads into your cart when you pick up groceries? Or, buy a multi-pack every once in a while? For us, no. However, we’re not you and you may find this difficult to remember.
Hersday Subscription Based Pads Pros:
- The company donates some money to a women’s cancer foundation with every purchase
- Convenience of having it delivered straight to your door
- Three options, based on flow
Hersday Subscription Based Pads Cons:
- Very expensive for what you get
- The pads seem like regular pads you can buy at the store
- Non-organic, and contain large amounts of plastic
- The wings on the overnight pads are too far apart and are quite difficult to use effectively
- I prefer reusable cloth pads
The Takeaway on Hersday
If you’re looking to buy some pads, perhaps give these ones a miss. They’re pretty expensive for what you get, and we’d recommend just picking up some from the store each month when you go grocery shopping. You could potentially save yourself a lot of money.
That said, if you’re the type of person who is constantly running out of sanitary pads, and cruising to the store at 10 pm when you start your period, perhaps Hersday is for you.
As for me? I am not that person, and I actually use reusable cloth pads so I don’t have to worry about this! Besides less hassle, I save a ton of money and don’t throw a whole bunch of plastic into the trash.
