Party in My Pants Cloth Pad Introduction
Party in My Pants make a line of handmade, premium cloth menstrual pads. The company is based in Wisconsin, USA and in terms of quality, their pads are similar to Blushing Bluebird, Tree Hugger, Glad Rags Organic, and Hesta Organic. Basically, some of the best ones you can buy.
The only real downside to Party in My Pants cloth pads is the price—they are some of the most expensive ones you can find. Throw in the shipping costs on top of that too because they’re not really available in stores.

Party in My Pants Reusable Pad Pros
- Handmade, and the quality is obvious
- A wide range of sizes and absorbency levels
- Lots of cute patterns and designs
- All in one unit, which we much prefer to the pads with inserts
- Can last for up to 5 years
- Very thin and comfortable to wear
- Machine washable and stain resistant
- The top of the pad remains mostly dry to the touch, even with some fluid. It seems to wick it away into the inner layer quite well.
- Excellent customer service and support
Party in my Pants Reusable Pad Cons
- Nylon backing can cause them to slide around, and bunch up a little bit
- Some people experience that “crinkly” experience when walking around due to the nylon
- Very expensive ($10+ per pad, plus shipping costs)
- The cotton lined pads are quite stiff and some people may not find them comfortable
- Less breathable than some other brands
The main negative to Party in My Pants cloth pads is the nylon backing. This is kind of a deal-breaker in our opinion and definitely something that we don’t like in a cloth menstrual pad.
The cloth pads with this type of “plasticky” backing slide around too easily, especially when exercising. They also have a tendency to crinkle a little bit when walking.
There are better options out there, for a far cheaper price. Think 3 pads for the price of a single Party in My Pants Pad. Here’s a good starting point for further research if you’re looking for a more affordable reusable cloth pad:

Care and Cleaning of Party in My Pants Cloth Pads
The company recommends just throwing your reusable menstrual pads in with your regular laundry, in either cold or warm water. Then, hang them to dry, or throw them in the dryer. This should remove most stains pretty easily.
However, they caution you to not mistake staining for not clean. Scrubbing, using harsh chemicals, or over-washing them will reduce the life-span of your Party in My Pants pads. And this of course will cost you more money, and reduce the eco-friendly awesome that are cloth menstrual pads.

How to Clean Cloth Pads
How to Use Reusable Pads when Not at Home?
Okay, so you may want to take your Party in My Pants Cloth Pads on the road. It’s super-easy if you’re going out for just a short time because you probably won’t have to change your pad. This is especially true if you’re using it as a backup to a tampon or menstrual cup.
But, what about if you have to change your cloth pad when out of the house? Jus carry an extra one in your purse or bag. But, what to do with the soiled one?
Most people carry along something like this Dutchess Wet Bag. It’s a waterproof bag that is NOT see-through. Throw your soiled cloth pad in there, and then put it in with your regular laundry at home. Even if someone sees the bag, they’ll have no idea what’s in there.
If you want to check out Dutchess Wet Bags for yourself, the best place to find them is on Amazon:
The Takeaway on Party in My Pants Reusable Menstrual Pads
Party in My Pants Cloth Pads are a decent product. They are certainly well-made, and they work well enough for most people. They fit nicely, are absorbent and not super bulky like some of the other cloth pads that we’ve tried.
While you may not mind, we HATE the nylon backing on them. There are just other cloth pads that work equally well, but don’t have this. It can cause cloth pads to shift around a lot, as well as lead to some serious sweaty crotch.
