The P-Mate Female disposable pee funnel is the second disposable option on our list. Here at Reusable Menstrual Cups, we love all things reusable. They’re better for the environment and also far cheaper over the medium to long-term.

However, there are some situations in which a disposable female urination device could be useful. For example, if you’re at a festival or something like that, you may just want to throw it into the port-potty or trash when you’re done with it.

Very Light in Weight

The US Army and Female Urinary Diversion Device

When you’re in full combat gear, it can be extremely difficult to take all of it off just to go to the bathroom. There’s often also not a lot of privacy.

In 2013, the US army did some research into a female urinal device that allows women to pee standing up.

This is in response to an increased risk of UTI’s (urinary tract infections) that come with reduced fluid intake, and holding urine for a long time. This is something that many female soldiers do during combat conditions.

However, female urination devices allow for privacy and protection when peeing. The hope is that a female pee cup will become part of the standard issue gear for all female soldiers.
